FREE CRUISE, RED HOOK BALLFIELDS, IKEA!

I know, I know, we're supposed to not like Ikea for all the controversy surrounding their construction in Red Hook, but . . . that doesn't mean we can't partake in their FREE FERRY RIDE from Manhattan to Red Hook, right? For those of us who already live in Brooklyn it is probably a stretch to get all the way down to the Battery, but for a quick glorious water ride cruising past Lady Liberty, it may be an awesome summer thing to do, flask in hand that is- just save room for the amazing Latin and South American food fare by the ballfields, the Swedish meatballs in the Ikea cafeteria and the loads of tasty brews at the Red Hook brewery.
I think the Red Hook Free Ferry Ride is the new McCarren Park, eh? Minus the dodge ball and amazing concert line-up that is.
